I have just returned from RSBC and found that although the resort, reception, entertainment staff and restaurant were of the usual high standard, the pool bar and bar were well below what we are accustomed to. No two rounds of drinks were the same price (one customer was charged 5.5 euro for a Cappaccino !!) and the staff were certainly not the friendliest we have ever had (bring back Chaik). Another point that will certainly be brought up at the AGM was that there were 7 people in a one bed apt (3 adults and 4 kids, two of which were nearing their teen years if not so already and the others being above the allowed infant age of 2), and this was with the approval of resort management. If this is allowed to go on the high standard of the refurbished apartments will rapidly depreciate and management fees will increase. It was also noticed by many members that the Guided tours by Diamond sales reps were now all round the pool area and not just to the top of the "ramp" as was agreed previously. All in all RSBC is still a great resort but I do feel that it is very slowly going downhill and with weeks now being up for rent on expedia etc it can only get worse unfortunately.

Hi and thanks for the update, we found the same when we stayed at Sahara Sunset in May that they were renting weeks and weekends out via Expedia and its far cheaper than what we pay as maintenance. Personally I thought the whole point of timeshare was it was supposed to be an "exclusive holiday experience", but apparently not anymore. do you know if the 7 people in one apartment were owners or whether they had booked through Expedia? I have read blogs etc on the Net by people who can't hand back membership and receive threatening phone calls from Diamond. Its a shame, but since Diamond have taken over everything has gone downhill.
We have already decided that this will be our last year at RSBC, if we want to go in the future we will book through Expedia. If we can't give our week away we will just not pay our maintenance next year and see what happens.

They are either weeks or points owners as they were there at the same time last year.
